4th Grade!

I just started school about a week ago!

It has bee so fun so far! We've done a project call "It's All About Me Tee", and it was really fun! What you had to do is bring in pictures of your family and yourself, and fill in things about you. The other thing we did was write a letter to my teacher, Mrs. Krauss. It was about yourself.

We have a math and science teacher. Your math teacher could be any fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Krauss, Mrs. Kaplan, or Mrs. Strong. I'm in Mrs. Krauss' math class which is the advanced class. Our science teacher's name is Mrs. Sank.

I wonder what other fun we will do later in the year!

My Very First Wallwisher!

Today, I made my very first Wallwisher!

Please leave a comment to let me know what your favorite color is, and why?

My favorite color is blue because it makes me relax. I also think it's a peaceful color, too! That's why I made this paragraph blue.

Ducks On The Loose! =(

On my way home from Hebrew School on Sunday, we stopped at a red light. Then, my mom spotted something, and that something was a mom duck with TEN ducklings' following her!

There was someone that was trying to stop all the cars so the ducks' could cross the street, and stay ALIVE!

When they reached the end of the street, the mother duck got up on the sidewalk. The ducklings' were trying to get up, but unfortunately, they couldn't. So, people went over there to the ducks', watched them, and even helped them get up on the sidewalk!

When my dad parked in a parking lot, my mom, dad, brothers', and I went outside and admired the beauty of the ducklings'.

There were other people around the ducks, watching and trying to save the ducks because they needed water, and they didn't have any water near them! Then, we joined in. First, someone got a box from Barnes and Noble to put the baby duckling' in so they can get them to the park and put them in the water. My mom suggested that maybe when they get the ducklings' in the box and leave it alone for a while, the mom would fly in the box so they can get them to Balboa Park, but they tried their idea first.

They got the babies in the box, but the problem was that they had trouble catching the mom. It kept flying away! Then, they tried taking the babies to Balboa Park. They thought maybe the mom would follow them to the park.

We were about to leave when, they drove back in the parking lot with the box! The duckings' mom didn't follow them! So, they tried my mom's idea.

I think that the mom finally joined her ducks. Now, I love nature! The ducks' ARE cute in my opinion.

What do you think happened to the cute family of ducks?

What would you do if you saw ducklings' like this?

Aren't they a cute family?

Do you like nature now that you have read my post?

My Eight Birthday!

Last year on my 8th birthday, I invited about 5 people. After everyone came, we went to a movie called Marley and Me. When the movie was over, we went to a restaurant called La Salsa. Once we got some dinner, we brought it home, and then we ate. My cousin stayed over night, and the next day we went to Hebrew class together. My birthday was really fun!

When My Baby Brother Was Born...................

I had to sleep at my grandma's house the night my brother was born. It was a Friday night, and my 1st brother was sleeping there too. Once I got there, I just went into the bedroom, and fell asleep. I was really tired that I didn't care what was going on! My grandma went to the hospital, and the next day, she came home saying that my new brother is ugly, but I knew she was just joking. He was actually very cute! When we all got ready, we started walking there since the hospital was so close. We were all really exited that month!

San Deigo

My first vacation in 2008 was a hotel in San Diego. I went there with my cousin Daniel, my two brothers Itai and Elior, and my parents. First, we checked in, and then my cousin and I raced there with Itai. After that, it was time to go swimming. Once we were done swimming it was already dark outside! When we got back to our room my grandma and my aunt came to us, and they were staying over night with us. I had a blast because the hotel had two water slides, and two pools. The next day we did the same thing, but my cousin's parents were there playing in the water with all of us. I will never forget that trip.

The Jog-a-Thon is Finally Here!

A few days ago, we had a jog-a-thon at our school!

It was held at the lower yard on the grass instead of it being on the upper yard.

Here is a PhotoPeach video from the day!

This is a video from the exciting day!

I'd like to give credit to my teacher who filmed these videos.

The jog-a-thon was really fun and exciting in my opinion. I think her filming is wonderful, and I love the two videos!

Do you think the jog-a-thon was fun?

What do you think of the two videos?

What do you think of my teacher's filming?

My Class Visited North America!

A few months ago, my class visited the map of North America!

National Geographic has a website that allows you to borrow a map. The website is called the Giant Traveling Maps.

We spent a long time making this movie, and my teacher, Mrs. Yollis, and I think it was worth it because it teaches people a lot. Enjoy!

I had a blast on the map!
Thank you Ingrid Hanzer, a member of National Geographic's!

What did you think of the movie?

Do you think it was worth it?

Publishing and Rejecting

If your comment gets PUBLISHED, that means that you had no errors, the right punctuation, and most of all, you gave at least two details about the post you're writing about. Also, if your comment gets rejected, that means that you didn't put in the right punctuation, you didn't capitalize the letter in the beginning of the sentence. Like this: oh your post is great and i love the way you made the post! it's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is what you don't want to write in a comment, or else it will get REJECTED, and you don't want that to happen. I think probably at least ten of my comments got published on Mrs. Yollis' blog, and I would say that two got rejected. What my teacher Mrs. Yollis, does is, whenever a comment gets published, the person that sent in that comment sticks a sticker onto a poster.

How many of your comments got published?
How many didn't?

My Wonderful Teacher!

My teacher, Mrs. Yollis is the best teacher I've ever had! Almost every morning she shows us any new posts she made during that day, and she also shows us the comments too. Whenever we take either multiplication or division tests, she tells us to take a deep breath so it will calm us down, and I usually get all of the answers right ! She even taught me how to make this blog. Right now we are learning how to write cursive, and she helps us by telling us which letter is the best. Also, she lets us pick which ones we like. I love my teacher!
